Volunteer Abroad in Australia - United Planet - 6 or 12 Months

Long-term Volunteer Quests are available for 6 months and 1 year. Volunteers receive personal and customized support and take part in an intensive pre-departure training weekend and in-country orientations as well as mid-year and final year camps with other volunteers from all over the world. You do not need any specific skills or language abilities to take part. You will attain new skills, competencies, and broadened your global perspectives through your involvement in the long-term Quest program!

As a long-term volunteer, you will have the exciting opportunity to gain an even deeper understanding and appreciation of a foreign land and culture through service, language and inter-cultural training, cultural learning activities, and exploration.

A multicultural society, Australians are also well known for their quality of life. 60% of its 22 million residents live in large seaside cities and many Australians consider surfing a national hobby. Australia, mostly semi-arid or desert, is actually extremely diverse, with landscapes ranging from snow-covered mountains to tropical rainforests and the Great Barrier Reef (think snorkeling!). Join us for sun, sand, surf, seismic waves, wine, wallabies, the wild outback and more. As a volunteer in Australia, you'll gain an insider's perspective of the culture, social issues and politics through serving the country's overlooked sectors of society.
