Program Description

Volunteer in Madagascar with FRONTIER

Description

"At the end of an exhilarating day of trekking and tracking we'd rush to get the lamps lit and the fires burning before the African night descended in a rush of mysterious jungle sounds."

Madagascar has been isolated island of the coast of Africa for millions of years. A majority of the species found on this island are found nowhere else. The variety of wildlife in Madagascar has contributed largely to its culture, and thus is knows as the "Island of the Ancestors" with their belief in the power of the dead to protect and guide the living.

Volunteer in Madagascar will have many opportunities to explore this wildlife and unique culture with opportunities in marine and wildlife conservation as well as community development.

Highlights

The 4 weeks I spend in Madagascar was not nearly enough!! I had the best time of my life!! From the second I arrived I felt at home! Dive training was a blast and I couldn’t have asked for a better place to acquire not only my open water PADI but also my Advance and Recue dive training!! Nosy Be and Frontier truly changed my life for the better! I am already planning my next trip.
