Typical day ? Very simple: Breakfast with the other volunteers before everyone leave by public bus to reach the Pagoda (temple) or hospital. Once with those supers cutes and funny child, we walk around with them, play with them, dance, sing, .... and we help to feed them for lunch and dinner. It's very simple but they couldn't be more happy to see people to come play with them ! At night, there's a lot to see and visit around the house in Ho Chin Minh City... cheap tastefull restaurant, smoothies, coffee bar, market or even movies night with others volunteers.

Volunteering in Vietnam was an amazing experience and I would recommend it to anyone. Living with the other volunteers you make friends immediately and you'll never have to worry about being lonely.

Working in the Orphanages, was very hands on, you feed the children, play with them, take them for walks, organise activities (if you want to). Hearing them laugh or making them smile is just a fantastic feeling. Some Advice: make an effort with the nurses; they have a very tough job and little reward.

The food at the volunteer accommodation was great. You should try the street vendor food, it is the cheapest and the best and use motorbike taxis once you do, you won't look back.

Do be careful of bag snatches, especially late at night in the tourist areas and leave your iphone at home, chances are you'll lose it. Overall though I felt very safe and loved every minute of my time there.

If you’re hesitating, all I can say is just do it!
